Ball Mill
The ball mill is used to test studded tire wear on aggregates.
Servi’s in-house developed ball mill features modern and advanced technology:
- Drum with direct motor drive for high reliability and low maintenance requirements
- Frequency-controlled motor for accurate and repeatable rotational speed
- Controlled servo-driven emptying movement, eliminating the need for heavy lifting
- Simple operation and control via an electronic panel
- Automatic program for testing and running-in of ribs
- Noise-insulated safety enclosure
The steel drum of the ball mill rotates together with water, steel balls, and aggregate material to measure wear and abrasion caused by studded tires.
Servi’s ball mill has been developed in close HSE (health, safety, and environment) collaboration with our customers.
There are no heavy lifts and no moving parts accessible during operation.
The drum is fixed in position and is moved up and down using two arrow buttons on the control panel, making it easy to fill and empty samples.
The machine is fully enclosed with sound-absorbing material and does not need to be placed in a sound-insulated room.
