E-Modulus

The modulus of elasticity, or E-modulus, for concrete is an important parameter that describes the material’s stiffness and its ability to deform elastically under load.

The E-modulus is the ratio between stress and relative deformation (strain) in the material. It provides an indication of how much the concrete will deform when subjected to load.

The E-modulus can be tested on cubes, cylinders, prisms/beams, and core samples of concrete, mortar, and cement.

Equipment for elasticity testing should be factory-installed when purchasing a compression testing machine.
