The companies’ existing products and services complement each other, in addition to which the merger allows Kamet-Röbäcks to expand its service organisations covering Finland, Sweden and Norway.
“We believe that by expanding our local service organisations, we can provide our customers with added value. Servicing of concrete plants, heating systems, precast plants and recycling equipment can be ordered and taken care of swiftly, easily and locally, in your own language. This is the goal that we strive for every day”, says Mikko Rautio, Director of Concrete Business Area at Kamet-Röbäcks.
The increase in manufacturing capacity will also benefit customers.
“We can manufacture products with a higher volume, as manufacturing can be divided between Finland and Sweden. This makes the time management of projects more efficient, and transport distances to Sweden and Norway become shorter.”
According to Rautio, the company continuously strives to make the companies’ products and services familiar to all parties.
“We travel between our locations, learn about the product and service portfolios, actively share knowledge and accumulate expertise. Our goal is to be a tight-knit organisation that provides the best service in the industry”, Rautio says.
The increase in manufacturing capacity will also benefit customers.
Kamet-Röbäcks has an excellent expanded product portfolio that allows the company to serve its customers around the world in widely varying conditions.
“We expect our turnover growth to be generated by new customer accounts while we are expanding our market areas. Naturally, we are also hoping to be able to expand our cooperation with our long-standing customers with the increasingly comprehensive product offering.”
Of the products, Rautio in particular brings up the quickly and easily movable Kamet Express concrete plants that operate efficiently and reliably even in challenging weather conditions after all, they have been tested in the Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian winter conditions.
“Movable Kamet Express concrete stations are an excellent solution for infrastructure projects, because they require enormous amounts of concrete, and the plant can be moved to the next site once the project is completed. All of our concrete plants are reliable, and our heating systems are effective. We can also provide life-cycle solutions to both new and old customers to increase business efficiency.”
Recycling solutions are major investments, but they can also generate new revenue streams for companies.
“Recovering side and waste streams permits their further development or sale, thereby generating more turnover. This way, the initial investment is translated into cash flow”, Rautio suggests.

Rautio says that customers have provided positive feedback on the merger.
“In particular, they are eagerly looking forward to better servicing. In Norway, we have also obtained new contacts for precast plant machinery, and the new market player has been warmly received. Our long-term customers have expressed their concerns over the availability of new spare parts for older plants, and I can tell them that there is no need to worry. The manufacturing of spare parts will continue unchanged.”
Rautio emphasises that since day one, the organisations have shared very similar views of what good customer service is about. Therefore, deepening the cooperation following the merger has been driven by its own momentum.
“Ideologically, our thoughts on customer service are a good match. We do not only provide “off-the-shelf” solutions, but want to genuinely understand our customers’ problems. At times, it turns out in this process that the customer’s actual problem is something completely different from what they initially wanted to solve. In our opinion, this is genuine customer service and value added. Thus, we do not only supply new equipment, but review the entire production chain.”
Moreover, Kamet-Röbäcks’ service does not end once the problems have been solved and the new equipment has been delivered.
“We train the customers to operate the equipment and actively keep in touch with them, and they can always call us in case they have questions about our equipment”, Rautio promises.
Kamet-Röbäcks has close to 80 in-house employees in three countries, an extensive partner network for diverse delivery and service needs and a comprehensive and modern range of products and services. As a multinational company, Kamet-Röbäcks will continue to serve its customers locally, in the local languages, but with wider shoulders for current and future needs and development.
