The Wheel Track is used in the laboratory to evaluate the deformation resistance against permanent deformation of a bituminous specimen.
During the test, the specimen is subjected to continuous movement of a wheel that applies load under controlled and constant temperature conditions.
The device is available in both single-wheel and double-wheel versions, suitable for water and air testing.
It is used to analyze parameters such as the publishable coefficient, skid resistance, and surface rutting—indicators of surface roughness.
